1944 Martin D-28

A holy grail vintage Martin! This war-era '40s Martin dreadnaught features a stunning Adirondack Spruce top with Brazilian Rosewood back and sides and gorgeous herringbone trim. Very good overall condition with honest cosmetic play wear and a small patched area of wood on the side of the body near the bass side of the neck. Plays very well with a vintage-feeling chunky soft-V neck profile and comfortable action. An incredible sounding acoustic delivering a big, powerful tone with a huge low end and rich woodiness that you only find in a great vintage instrument. The midrange is clear, open and punchy and the highs sing with brilliant overtones. A stellar instrument and wonderful piece of Martin history! Includes hardshell case.
