A quintessential pre-CBS Telecaster! This guitar is a fantastic player with a resonant feel and incredible sonic characteristics. Great overall condition with just the right amount of authentic vintage wear and all original with the exception of a replaced nut and a well-done re-fret. The maple neck sports a fast, slim C-shaped profile and is topped with a gorgeous Brazilian Rosewood ‘slab’ fretboard! The original pickups sound excellent with a clear, punchy, and aggressive Fender tone full of warmth in the neck position and classic Tele twang in the bridge position! Includes original hardshell case.

"When discussing slab board Fenders, the Stratocaster is likely the first model that springs to mind. While this bias is understandable, getting your hands on this guitar would likely make you think twice.
The 60s Telecaster may not enjoy the same hype as models from the previous decade, but the advent of the Rosewood fretboard brought with it a palette of interesting new tones. Generally warmer than its Maple equivalent, the risk of icepick trebles from the bridge pickup are mostly mitigated while still retaining its signature clarity. The tonal affects of an Alder body as opposed to the earlier Ash examples is the subject of contentious debate and should not be discussed in mixed company. This particular example is all original apart from a world-class refret and nut replacement executed by famed Baton Rouge luthier Holger Notzel.
