This pre-CBS Jaguar features a lovely tapered medium C neck with a "1NOV64B" stamp, a comfy offset body, floating tremolo, a 24" scale, and versatile electrics for a myriad of different tones ranging from quacky out-of-phase tones with scooped mids to full and rich low-mid punch. The original PUs really shine producing signature Jag tones with plenty of high-end chime and crystal clear and transparent harmonics! Original condition excluding a replaced nut and in good overall cosmetic shape with expected wear including some finish wear, heavier body dings, and a slight patina throughout. A killer example! Includes original hardshell case.
"Once the black sheep of the company’s lineup, the Jaguar is now one of the most recognizable and desirable Fender designs out there and 1964 was certainly among the model’s premier years. The Brazilian rosewood fretboard is the hallmark of the last true iteration of Fender’s 'golden era,' and provides a richness and response that simply cannot be mimicked with the later Indian rosewood boards. The lightweight alder bodies used on pre-CBS Fenders not only look better than the modern equivalent, but are notably more responsive and resonant, reminiscent of early Stratocasters from the first few model years of their production. This particular example is sporting a replaced bone nut, but is otherwise completely untouched. Original vintage Jaguars this nice don’t come around every day, and this one will surely go fast."
