This 1966 Fender P-Bass has great resonance throughout producing a quintessential well-rounded P-Bass tone with tons of sustain! A great player with a full-C profile neck dated "5FEB66C" that's a breeze to navigate up and down the board. Good overall condition with heavier buckle wear, dings in the expected places, and a vibey patina. Original excluding replaced pots, a replaced nut for improved playability, and a few added pickguard holes. A killer CBS example! Includes modern hardshell case.
While you won't find a bigger fan of the early 50s P-Basses, I think it's fair to say that the model didn't reach its ultimate form until the days of split pickups and rosewood fretboards. The recipe all came together in the early 60s and has remained virtually unchanged ever since. This February '66 example shows all the signs of a well-loved and well-played workhorse. The pots wore out and were changed, as often was the case with professional instruments. A new bone nut brings this bass's playability up to par and will keep it that way for decades to come."
