1942 Martin F-2

These war-era F-2 Martin archtops are incredibly rare with only twelve produced in '42 and while most come in sunburst, this example features a natural finish ~ so it is the only F-2 of its kind. The fact that this solid Brazilian Rosewood hasn't been harvested for a flattop makes it even more enticing and elusive! This guitar Sounds amazing and feels almost amplified with a dry projection and complex vintage harmonic character. Plays well with a neck reset and replaced frets ~ the current frets are quite low, but it is currently playable so we decided to leave it as is. Cosmetically in great overall shape with zero cracks displaying honest wear with dings, playwear, a remaining strap button hole on the neck heel, and the original guard is missing. This is an incredible piece of Martin's history! Includes original hardshell case.
