1952 Gibson Les Paul Standard '52/'59 Conversion
This stunning 1952 Les Paul Goldtop was masterfully converted 12 years ago by Jim Weyandt of Jam City Guitars. The Old Michigan Flame Maple top was replaced with hide-glue construction, and the guitar received a breathtaking faded Cherry Sunburst nitrocellulose refin with aniline dyes, complemented by a tasteful light relic. Original Features include the Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard, binding, inlays, headstock face finish, pickguard (recut for humbuckers), truss rod cover, and control plates; It also features era-correct 50s ABR-1 bridge, '57 tailpiece, untouched '59 PAF humbuckers, and a 1958 wiring harness. Repro parts include Thro-Bak pickup rings, a replacement switch, repro knobs, a bone nut, and Jescar 57104 frets that feel great. The headstock has also been expertly repaired. Pleasantly lightweight at 8lbs 10oz, this Les Paul is a joy to play producing tons of sustain, resonance, and an unmistakable vintage Gibson tone. Comes with a certificate from Jam City Guitars. This is a superbly executed conversion! Includes non-original hardshell case.
