1953 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop '57 Conversion
A fantastic 1953 LP Goldtop converted to ’57 specifications with an ABR-1 bridge and a set of early no-sticker ’57 PAFs for incredible vintage LP tones. The conversion was done faithfully in the style of an early ’57. Adjusted neck angle, Black plastics, early ’57 PAFs, and the knobs, pots, and tuners date to ’57. The guard and poker chip are from the late ’60s, and the back plastics are stock to the original ’53. It remains in great condition, with expected cosmetic wear and evidence of a well-repaired headstock break, totally stable. The neck and back are refinished; however, the top finish is original with some overspray, and it looks fantastic. Kim Lafleur of Historic Makeovers carefully performed the work, which was expertly executed to give this guitar a new lease on life.
