1957 Fender Stratocaster
This is a fantastic, lightweight example of a ’57 Stratocaster with a unique story. The original owner brought the guitar directly to Leo Fender to pitch a prototype tortoise guard featuring a custom mini-switch route. The mod didn't persuade Leo to change the original design, but it is an interesting bit of history, and the original guard is included with the guitar. The soft "V" neck feels excellent in hand on the fuller/medium side with a strong connection to the body for a lively sound. It is in great condition and remains mostly stock, with a unique E-tape diamond on the top, body overspray, a rewound bridge pickup, and some routing beneath the guard tied to the mod history. This is a great player with undeniable vintage mojo! Includes mid-50s tweed case.
