The Gibson Country Western is the natural-finished counterpart to the Southern Jumbo, a classic square-shouldered Gibson dreadnought featuring a Spruce top with Mahogany back and sides, a bound neck, and split parallelogram inlays. This 1960 example is in very good condition, showing heavier playwear and dings, along with a repaired back crack and a replaced truss rod cover. It has received all the pertinent updates, including a neck reset, a re-glued bridge, and new frets, so it is gig-ready and plays effortlessly. This guitar sounds fantastic and delivers a warm tone with nice clarity and midrange punch, with impressive headroom and a lively, dynamic response. This is a killer vintage Gibson acoustic!
