1962 Gibson J-160E
This is the same year as the iconic Gibson J-160E famously used by John Lennon and George Harrison! This model was an early attempt at producing an acoustic/electric instrument for loud stages. The J-160E features a laminate, ladder-braced dreadnaught body with a unique built-in magnetic pickup between the end of the fretboard and soundhole. This example is in very good condition with general playwear and dings, but remains clean overall. It plays easily with a slimmer profile and sounds excellent with a dry, woody acoustic tone that really shines when plugged in with a strong mid-range presence for the perfect vintage acoustic/electric tone from the original P-90 style pickup.
