1970’s Music Man Sabre I. The Sabre I followed the Sting Ray II as the second Music Man guitar model designed by the great Leo Fender, featuring a Strat-like body style and fitted with a pair of humbucking pickups and an active EQ circuit. This example is in good condition with a fair amount of finish wear, including checking and scattered dings. It plays very well with a medium-C neck profile with a modern 12″ radius, perfect for lead work. The unique pickup system provides a powerful sound with hi-fi clarity and definition. Really big and tight lows, punchy midrange, and twangy, single-coil-like highs. The bass and treble tone knobs, along with the additional tone shaping mini-toggles allow for precision tone sculpting. A killer, under-the-radar, vintage workhorse! Includes gig bag.
