1950s Vega Westerner
These 50s LP copy Vega Westerners are scarce as Gibson threatened to litigate ~ Vega halted production leaving only the few examples that had already been sold.. While it might resemble a Goldtop at first glance, the Westerner has its own funky, offbeat vintage charm and unique aesthetic. This example is in very good used condition with plenty of character, heavy playwear, finish checking, and an extra strap button hole. The tuners and electronics have been swapped, but the guitar still exudes plenty of vintage vibe. The thick C-profile neck is incredibly comfortable with a solid, resonant connection to the body that delivers a transparent, lively tone from the original white soap bar pickups for an interesting combination of sounds. This is a cool and undeniably rare vintage Vega! Includes original hardshell case.
