1954 Gibson J-160E [*Demo Video!]
This first-year '54 Gibson J-160E is super clean and plays beautifully with a replaced saddle, otherwise, it is stock. The J-160E was one of Gibson’s early attempts at producing an acoustic/electric instrument and features a laminate, ladder-braced dreadnought body with a unique built-in magnetic pickup between the end of the fretboard and soundhole. This guitar is in very good condition with light cosmetic wear, and it plays great with a full, rounded contour. It sounds lovely with a dry, woody acoustic tone that shines when plugged in with a strong mid-range presence and vintage acoustic/electric tone provided by the original P-90 style pickup. The perfect vintage acoustic for the stage! Includes Gibson hardshell case.
