1961 Gibson Les Paul (SG) Standard
This refinished first-year 1961 Gibson Les Paul (SG) Standard is a super resonant, lively example with all of the sustain and harmonic richness you'd hope for in an early SG. The neck is on the slimmer side, and it feels great in the hand with a strong sonic connection to the body. The original PAFs sound fantastic, producing tons of vintage character and overtones. Both pickup leads have been replaced, and a coil on the bridge pickup was rewound. Other modifications include swapped tuners, and it’s currently running a late-’60s ABR-1 bridge that intonates well and feels right at home on the guitar with no evidence of the former tailpiece, thanks to the refin. A great choice for those on the hunt who want a fantastic first-year Les Paul Standard with a unique aesthetic. Includes original hardshell case.
