The Firebird is one of Rock’s most iconic guitars! This '63 Firebird III features through-neck construction, a bound neck, dot inlays, two pickups, and a removed Vibrola for a little more stability. Great condition with no breaks or repairs and mostly original with a swapped jack and pickup selector, the low-E tuner is also missing a bushing. Displays general wear with various dings, scratches, and worn edges, but nothing beyond typical wear and tear and there is still plenty of life left in the original frets. Plays great up and fretboard and the neck sports a very comfortable medium profile that resonates strongly with the body for a loud acoustic presence and ample sustain. The mini-humbuckers are what make these guitars so incredible with a fantastic sound that strikes the perfect balance between a Tele pickup and a PAF with a fat, rich warmth with a single-coil-like twang and sparkle. This is a fantastic-sounding example and an excellent representation of Gibson's Golden era! Includes original hardshell case. Includes original switch and jack. Includes modern re-pro tailpice.
