The Firebird is one of Rock’s most iconic guitars! This '63 Firebird III features through-neck construction, a bound neck, dot inlays, and two mini-humbuckers! Great condition with no breaks or repairs and mostly original with a modern Vibrola, replaced pickguard, input jack, and pickup selector ~ The low-E tuner is also missing a bushing. It is in very good condition with general wear displaying various dings, scratches, and worn edges, with nothing beyond typical wear, with plenty of life left in the original frets. It plays great, and the neck sports a very comfortable medium profile that resonates strongly with the body for a loud acoustic presence and tons of sustain. The mini-humbuckers are what make these guitars so incredible, with a fantastic sound that strikes the perfect balance between a Tele pickup and a PAF, with a fat, rich warmth with a single-coil-like twang and sparkle. This is a fantastic-sounding example and an excellent representation of Gibson's Golden Era! Includes the original hardshell case, and the original switch and jack.
