1964 Gibson Firebird III
This 1964 Gibson Firebird III might be the best we’ve ever had through the shop. It’s well-preserved, pretty clean with honest dings, finish checking, and worn edges. All of the parts and hardware are original, and it is near stock except for a couple of mysterious screws between the pickups, with a few screw holes near the bridge studs as well. Acoustically, it’s super resonant, and plugged in, it delivers a fat, warm tone with an airy single-coil-like shimmer. The medium neck carve is super comfortable, offering easy playability with a lively and exciting feel. This is a truly exceptional guitar, and a shining example of Gibson’s golden-era craftsmanship. Includes original hardshell case.
