1966 Fender Telecaster
This ’66 Telecaster features a refinished body and fretboard for a distinctive look, while the headstock and back of the neck retains its original finish. The neck is slim and fast, stamped “3APR66B,” and is a standout feature with a lesser-seen maple cap. It plays beautifully with upgraded saddles and a new nut and frets, giving it a fantastic, updated feel while still retaining its vintage integrity. The fretboard was planed during the refret, giving this guitar a compound radius that transitions from the vintage-spec 7.25" up until the 9th fret to a more modern 9.5" past that. The electronics have been swapped, but the original pickups are still in place, and they sound killer, with tons of snap, twang, and a sweet, articulate top end. Cosmetically, it’s nicely broken-in with dings, worn edges, and some rash, but it’s in excellent playing shape and absolutely ready to be your next go-to picker! This guitar has clearly seen a lot of love, which makes it resonant, lively, and a joy to play with all of the pertinent updates. Includes original hardshell case.
