1968 Marshall Super Lead 100 Model 1959
Here is a fantastic sounding late-1968 Marshall JMP Model 1959 Super Lead 100 for your consideration. These golden-era Marshall Plexis were the amps that defined the sound of rock n' roll! This is one of the rarer export models destined for the US market, and as such lacks the voltage selector found on the UK models. During this period, the US distributors would occasionally be short on "factory" Lead models and would convert Super Bass amplifiers before sale to the Lead circuit specifications. This is one of those amplifiers, bearing the "Lead" sticker on the rear panel that was applied stateside. Modifications include a 3-prong cord, updated Rel-Cap yellow signal capacitors, LCR filter capacitors, a slightly relocated choke transformer, and the chassis is housed in a non-original cabinet. It is Fully functional, in excellent condition, and sounds amazing with a huge sound delivering authentic vintage British tones with a warm, creamy saturation, musical compression, and fantastic touch response. A powerhouse Rock amp!
