1970s Gibson B-Series Prototype [*Kalamazoo Collection]
This instrument came from our recently acquired "Kalamazoo Collection." We acquired the collection from a married couple that worked at the original factory from the late 50s until the factory closed in June of 1984. These pieces are uncirculated and mostly untouched in mint or near-mint condition ~ The collection also includes 1000s of pieces of memorabilia, new-old-stock parts, and more ~ reach out with any/all inquiries!
This lovely guitar is sandwiched somewhere between the rare B-20 and a B-25 ~ It may be the only example of its kind, if you have one or have a record of one please let us know! The build features ornate purfling, a Mahogany body and neck, and a solid Spruce top for a warm and rich sound with focused projection. Excellent new-old-stock condition and feels great to play with a narrower 1 9/16" nut width for a cozy feel. Reach out for more information on this vintage parlor! Includes original hardshell case.
