2004 Marshall 1974X [*Allesandro Amps Mod!]

A fantastic sounding, hand-wired, modern Marshall 1974X 1x12" 18-watt combo modded by Allesandro Amps.

"This does not fall under the Hand-wired service category, since it was built that way by Marshall, but it definitely fits into the make it better and musical category. Cosmetically I could not stand the modern pinstripe grill cloth, so EC Collins reproduction it has to be. No modern transformers for this amp, proper layer wound power and output transformers were installed. As I mentioned, these amps are hand wired, no PCB in there, but the caps in the signal path were just not the best choice for audio. Upgraded all of the caps and retubed , chassis done. Cab looked so good, and EL84’s in there, so an Alnico Blue is the historic choice. Dang this sounds good now. It was a lot of work and blisters on my finger from pulling all the grill cloth staples, but quality does not come easy. This amp as well as others will be at the Nickles grand opening tomorrow, if your local, come visit and have a listen."
