1961 Fender Stratocaster

An incredible example of a 1961 Fender Stratocaster featuring an 8/61 neck date and a 7/61 body date. This Strat is near stock with an excellent refret and a new nut for an updated feel with an ideal response up and down the neck which sports a classic medium "C" contour topped with a slab of Brazillian Rosewood. Cosmetically it displays typical wear for a loved and played workhorse guitar with checking, finish wear, dings, and a missing pickguard corner that was scrappily tacked back down with a screw and a washer, which we love. It is super resonant and the original pickups sound incredible providing the perfect dynamic range for iconic Strat Tones. This is a superb example of Fender’s golden-era craftsmanship and a true relic! Includes non-original hardshell case.
